The article outlines the implementation of the System for the Identification and Monitoring of Livestock (SIAP) in a specific country, set to be in effect from February 1 to June 30, 2025. This system aims to track the approximately 3 million calves born annually. Farmers with over 500 heads of cattle or buffalo will be responsible for applying identification devices, while those with 100 to 499 heads will do so in conjunction with vaccinations, with the Animal Health Services Foundation overseeing the vaccination certificates and registrations for those with under 100 heads. Both Senacsa and Fundassa will be conducting training for the implementation of SIAP and the traceability of animals from birth to slaughter, including vaccinations and health controls.
