Brazil has seen a significant surge in pork exports in the first two months of 2024, with a 17.6% increase from the same period in 2023, totaling 197,500 tons. Despite lower sales prices, export income rose by 1.9% to 371 million euros, with February 2024 marking a record month of nearly 100,000 tons exported. While China remains the largest customer, demand from other countries like the Philippines, Chile, Hong Kong, and Singapore has grown. The state of Santa Catarina accounted for 55% of Brazil's total pork exports.
