In the first five months of 2025, the average import price of Chinese cassava starch was $370.7 per ton, a 31% decrease year-on-year. With input costs remaining high, the significant drop in price has placed immense pressure on producers in exporting countries. Vietnam is the largest supplier, with cassava starch imports exceeding 1.14 million tons, accounting for 48.84% of China's total cassava starch imports.
