In the fourth week of 2024, Brazil has experienced a significant downturn in its corn export sector. The country shipped only 245,541.3 tons of corn, marking an 18.38% retention of the volume exported in March 2023. This decline is further highlighted by a 73.6% decrease in the daily average shipment volume and a 75.8% reduction in daily average financial earnings from corn exports. Moreover, the average price per ton of Brazilian corn has decreased by 8.5% compared to the previous year, indicating a challenging period for the nation's corn export market.
