Minnesota's small grains and alfalfa harvest is progressing well, with significant progress made in the harvest of oats, spring wheat, and barley. The second cutting of alfalfa is slightly behind schedule at 91%, compared to the five-year average of 95%. Corn is also progressing, with 6% dented and 61% of the acreage rated as good to excellent. Soybean pod setting is at 78%, with 64% rated as good to excellent. The sugarbeet harvest has recently begun, with 80% of the crop rated as good to excellent.
