Snail farming is becoming a popular business due to the high profit potential and the product's nutritional value. The COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine presented challenges, but some businesses adapted and thrived. In Ukraine, hundreds of snail farms exist, although 500 have closed due to low profitability. The first direct export of snails to the EU was recently made by a company from the Poltava Region. The war in Ukraine saw an increase in production for the VerbaraVLyk2020 farm in the Ternopil region, breeding and selling more than 20 tons of snails per season.
