Dutch-bred asparagus hybrids, such as Millennium, Quinoxy, and Eclipse, which are used in Ukraine, can be cultivated for up to 12-15 years and have been reported to last up to 20 years or more. These hybrids, which were initially grown from seeds due to unavailability in seedlings, are now officially registered. Asparagus crops have been affected by April frosts, but the extent of damage varies depending on the region, depth of planting, and hybrid variety. Some hybrids are expected to start producing in the next year.
