An export report by CAPECA reveals a shift in the global fish and seafood market, with an increase in demand in Europe, Asia, and Africa, but a decrease in both North and South America. The demand for whole shrimp has risen, breaking a downward trend, while shrimp tails have seen a decline in both price and sales. Hake hubbsi fillets experienced a rise in demand and prices, and squid sales and prices have improved, contributing significantly to Argentine fishery exports. From January to July 31, there was a 19% increase in exports and a 14.7% increase in revenue. The market prices and demand for various seafood products such as whole shrimp and illex squid have also changed, with the United States paying the highest price per ton for whole shrimp.
