The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock in Brazil has announced that 19 additional meat processing plants have been approved to export their products to South Africa, covering beef, pork, horse meat, and poultry. This brings the total number of authorized Brazilian establishments to 28, all located in nine states with the majority in São Paulo. The new authorizations allow for the export of various meats, with the bulk being beef. Brazil is projected to remain the world's leading meat exporter in 2024, having already exceeded 7 billion tons since the start.
