The 2024-2025 South African table grape season has commenced with expectations of high-quality produce and a slight increase in export volumes, thanks to the introduction of new varieties. The season's national crop estimate is projected at 76.4 million cartons, marking a 6% increase over the five-year average. Despite logistical challenges, South Africa continues to prioritize its key export markets, the UK and EU, which accounted for 77% of total exports in the 2023-2024 season. The country is also looking to expand its table grape exports to South East Asia, the United States, and Canada.
