The Chungnam Fisheries Resources Research Institute released 440,000 young octopuses in the sea areas near Seosan, Dangjin, and Boryeong from June 27 to July 8 to recover fishery resources and increase fishermen's income. The released octopuses were spawned from parent octopuses caught in the waters off Boryeong from April 22 to May 9, and are approximately 0.04-0.05g in size. The research institute used a self-developed release net to improve the survival rate of young octopuses, quickly releasing them and reducing their exposure to external environments to enhance their chances of survival.
