The Korea-Africa Agricultural Conference, held on June 5, 2024, in Seoul, aimed to deepen agricultural cooperation between South Korea and Africa. Organized by South Korea's Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) and the Rural Development Administration (RDA), the event saw the participation of around 300 attendees, including African presidents, ministers, and international organizations. Several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed to enhance collaboration, with key initiatives like the K-Ricebelt project to boost rice productivity in Africa. Presentations highlighted the importance of smart agriculture, rural development, and the application of digital technologies in strengthening agricultural value chains.
