South Korean company Nonghyup Feed Inc. (NOFI) has purchased around 134 thousand tons of feed corn at an international tender this week, with origins from the USA, South Africa, or South American countries, out of a planned 207 thousand tons, reported the online publication APF-Inform, citing its sources among market participants. The first of a total of 2 lots of 67 thousand tons each will be provided by the company CJ International for $242.94 per ton C&F plus $1.44 per ton for unloading at a reserve port and delivery by June 10. The second lot will be delivered by Mitsui for $243.99 per ton C&F plus $1.50 per ton for unloading at a reserve port. It must arrive in South Korea by June 1, but if it is shipped from South Africa or U.S. ports located on the Gulf of Mexico, the quantity decreases to 55 thousand tons.
