In April 2024, Peru experienced a significant increase in Brazil nut exports, with a total of 822 tons exported earning US$ 5.2 million. This represents an 82% increase in volume and a 103% increase in value compared to the same period in 2023. The average price of Peru's Brazil nuts in April was US$ 6.3 per kilogram, a rise of 11.4% from March. These nuts were exported to 21 countries, with South Korea, the United States, and Germany being the top importers. White Lion Nuts S.A.C. was the leading exporter, followed by Procesadora de Alimentos Santa Isabel and Beneficiadora San Agustin S.R.L.
