Feed prices in Egypt are experiencing fluctuations due to global price declines, local inflation, and changes in the dollar exchange rate. The price of yellow corn has decreased by 50 pounds to 9750 pounds, while soybean meal has increased by 500 pounds. The scarcity of raw materials such as soybean meal, gluten, and corn in Egypt is attributed to the lack of supply from global markets, inflation, the increase in the value of the dollar, and the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian conflict. The Head of the Poultry Wealth Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, Abdel Aziz Al-Sayed, has pointed out that the current prices are unprecedentedly high and that the situation is affecting the production capacities in factories.
