Soybean exports grow 282% in January in Paraná, Brazil

The accelerated soybean harvest in January this year, which is unusual for the period, led to a significant increase in the volume of soybean complex products exported by Paraná, driving a record in this segment in history for the month. In the first month of this year, 1.2 million tons of products from this complex left the state, a volume 282% higher than the 326.5 thousand tons in January 2023. The numbers are on Agrostat, a platform from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock that monitors foreign trade in agricultural products. However, in terms of values, the percentage was not so significant, given the drop in prices on the international market: US$ 215.7 million were obtained in January last year and US$ 542.2 million this year (151.3 %).
