The planting of the 2025/26 soybean crop in Uberlândia, in the Triângulo Mineiro region, began in recent days, but is proceeding at a slow pace due to the still irregular rainfall in the area, according to local Emater information. Agricultural engineer Carlos Miguel Rodrigues Couto reported that, so far, around 3,000 hectares have been sown, which corresponds to 4.8% of the estimated area of 62,500 hectares. According to him, the progress of the planting should occur more consistently from the end of October, if the predicted rainfall is confirmed. Emater projects that, with good weather conditions, the average soybean productivity in Uberlândia could reach 4,300 kilograms per hectare in this crop.
