Argentina: Soybean planting reaches 44.4% of the 18.6 Mha projected nationwide

After an interweekly progress of 8.6 p.p., soybean planting reaches 44.4% of the 18.6 MHa projected at the national level, with an advance of 1 p.p. with respect to the average of the last five campaigns, reported the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange in its weekly agricultural outlook. The latest rains continue to improve the water condition of the planted plots and will allow progress to be made on the remaining surface of first-season soybeans in both cores, as well as to begin work in the north of the agricultural area. 96% of the first-season soybeans have a Normal/Good crop condition, while 98% report an Adequate/Optimal water condition. On the other hand, progress is being made in the work for second-season soybeans, covering 4% of what was projected at the national level, mainly in the Center-East of Entre Ríos and the Northern Core.
