Soybean sowing scenario in Piauí is worrying, points out president of Aprosoja

The planting of the 2025/26 soybean crop in the state of Piauí has reached approximately 29% of the area estimated by the National Supply Company (Conab). This number represents 1.148 million hectares, according to information from the Soybean Producers Association of the State (Aprosoja Piauí). It is expected that the cultivated area will increase by 4.6% compared to the previous season. According to the president of Aprosoja Piauí, Janailton Fritzen, the scenario is worrying, as the rains in the state are very irregular, in contrast to the good regularity recorded in the past crop. The climatic instability has left the planting pace quite slow, and it is not yet possible to say whether the productivity will be able to repeat the average of 4,200 kilograms per hectare achieved in the previous cycle.
