At the Acsoja 2024 Seminar, Emilce Terré, head of the Department of Economic Studies at the Rosario Stock Exchange, discussed the Argentine market's challenges in the 24-25 campaign. She noted that soybean prices are at their lowest since 2020 in dollars and that purchasing power is at its lowest since 2018. The economist warned of decreased dollars coming in from agriculture due to low prices, leading to negative profitability for the entire chain. Despite some positive numbers in second-season soybeans, Terré emphasized the need for careful financial and price coverage to ensure profitability. She also mentioned that soybean complex exports are projected to remain below 19 billion dollars next year due to falling international prices.
