The Government of São Paulo has introduced the Fruticultura SP Credit Line, funded by the São Paulo Agribusiness Expansion Fund (FEAP), with a allocation of R$ 10 million to support the citrus industry. The credit, which will be disbursed from 2025, features a low interest rate of 3% per year and a term of 84 months with a 24-month grace period. This initiative aims to bolster small and medium-sized rural producers by providing financial support to improve their productivity and international market standing. Accessible through the Agriculture House in each municipality, this credit is expected to benefit various agricultural sectors, following FEAP's record allocation of R$290 million in rural credit for 2024. São Paulo, a leading producer in Brazil, cultivated an additional 14.5 million tons of fruit in 2023, including significant quantities of orange, lemon, banana, avocado, and persimmon.
