Spain and Portugal have strengthened cooperation in the management of the shared river basins of the Miño, Duero, Tajo, and Guadiana, during the XXVII meeting of the Commission for the Application and Development of the Convention (CADC) of Albufeira, held last Tuesday in Lisbon. This is the centenary bilateral convention that deals with the protection of the waters of the shared river basins between Spain and Portugal —rivers Miño, Limia, Duero, Tajo, and Guadiana—, and the sustainable and coordinated use of their waters. The delegations were chaired by the Director General of Water of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (Miteco), María Dolores Pascual, and the President of the International Commission of Luso-Spanish Limits and River Basins of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, Alfonso Tena.
