The Minister of Economy, Trade and Business, Carlos Cuerpo, has asked the United States this Monday to advance the inclusion of olive oil and other products "important for Spain" on the list of products exempt from tariffs. This was explained at the end of a bilateral meeting with the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Howard Lutnick, and the U.S. Trade Representative, Jamieson Greer. Cuerpo held this meeting on the sidelines of a meeting of European Trade Ministers of the EU where the implementation of the agreement reached with the United States a few months ago to avoid a trade war was reviewed. The U.S. representatives also participated in the working lunch of the EU ministers.
