Spanish health authorities have discovered a second batch of Moroccan strawberries infected with hepatitis A, this time intended for Poland. The European Commission has been alerted through the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (Rasff) and the alert remains active. This follows a similar incident in March where a shipment of infected strawberries was found, destined for Spain. In response, agricultural organization Unió Llauradora i Ramadera has called on the European Union to prioritize consumer health and implement stricter controls.
