The export of tomatoes has fallen by 6.5% in volume, with 588,421 tons in the 2024-2025 campaign, while the entry of foreign produce has grown by 1.9%, with 214,281 tons, according to the latest data published by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA). The data from the Bulletin of the situation of the fruit and vegetable campaign corresponding to September show that, in value, the Spanish export of tomatoes has decreased by 2.4% in the current campaign (between September 2024 and July 2025), while compared to the average of the last five it has grown by 2.9%. As for imports, the purchase of tomatoes from other countries in Spain has grown by 20% in value in this campaign compared to the previous one, with 265.4 million euros; it rises by 57.1% if the average of the last five is taken into account.
