This achievement marks a decisive step in the internationalization of Peru's differentiated coffee offerings, the result of the effort of producers who chose a life away from drug trafficking. This progress is the result of the joint work between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Devida, and Agromercado, which, through the diplomatic missions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, promoted the quality of the coffees in international tasting and dissemination spaces. With the opening of the port of Singapore to this high-quality grain, commercial opportunities for farmers are expanded, consolidating their position in specialized markets. It should be noted that Devida promotes a comprehensive alternative development strategy that benefits more than 10,700 coffee farming families in 11,967 hectares, organized in 112 cooperatives and associations.
