Following the success of the "ASEAN Fruit Convergence in Guangxi - Promoting Convenient and Quality Shopping within the RCEP" event series last month, Guangxi has continued to emerge as the largest logistics, processing, and transit center for Southeast Asian fruits in southern China. Growth signals from the volume of imported goods, large-scale fruit purchase contracts, and a series of new investment projects in cold storage and customs infrastructure have contributed to making Guangxi the "golden gateway" for tropical fruits into mainland China. According to the Guangxi Commerce Bureau, in the first six months of 2025, the volume of fruit imported from ASEAN countries through the region reached 780,000 tons, a 50% increase compared to the same period last year.
