Vietnam's cashew production and processing enterprises spent 3.07 billion USD to import nearly 2.66 million tons of cashew nuts in the first 11 months of 2023, resulting in a 46.5% increase in imported volume and a 19.2% increase in value compared to the same period last year. The top 5 cashew nut suppliers to Vietnam are Ivory Coast, Cambodia, Nigeria, Ghana, and Tanzania, with imports from Cambodia and Tanzania decreasing and imports from Ivory Coast, Nigeria, and Ghana increasing. To reduce dependence on imported raw materials, the Vietnam Cashew Association advises processing enterprises to invest in developing domestic raw material sources and sign contracts with cashew growers.
