Sports horse breeding will receive state support in Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Agriculture has developed draft rules for subsidizing the development of livestock breeding The draft rules for subsidizing the development of livestock breeding, increasing the productivity and quality of livestock products were developed by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, reports the Agrosektor.kz portal. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, this project is aimed at improving the genetic potential of the Kazakh breed of sports horses and includes three new areas of subsidies that are designed to support and develop horse breeding in the country. The following will be subsidized: • acquisition by breeding centers of breeding stallions of foreign selection to improve the genetic qualities of the Kazakh breed of sports horses; • selection and breeding work with breeding stock of this breed; • reimbursement of costs for maintaining breeding stock.
