Strategie Grains has revised its forecast for the EU's soft wheat harvest for the 2025/26 marketing year, increasing it from 126.6 to 127.2 million tons. The agency also expects the barley harvest to rise to 50.5 million tons. This improvement is attributed to favorable weather conditions in Germany and Poland. Despite a predicted decrease in spring barley sowing, the rise in corn sowing is expected to boost production to 60.3 million tons in 2025, which is 3.1% below the average of the past five years.
