Strawberry exports started in Mersin

Strawberry harvest has begun in Silifke district of Mersin. Silifke district of Mersin, one of the important strawberry production centers of Türkiye, has begun harvesting. Strawberries find buyers both domestically and in Iraq and Krasnodar region of Russia. Stating that this year, production is made in 5 thousand acres of open land and 2 thousand acres of greenhouse and soilless production in Silifke and that they expect 50 thousand tons of product this season, Atayurt Hal Association President İbrahim Kaynar said that strawberry production is carried out especially in Atayurt, Arkum, Atakent and Kurtuluş, Bahçeköy, Sökün, Çeltikçi neighborhoods.
