Kazakhstani farmers have significantly increased their sugar beet cultivation to 25.2 thousand hectares, anticipating a harvest of 1.1 million tons in the Zhetysu and Zhambyl regions. However, existing sugar factories are unable to handle the surge in volume, leading the government to plan new factories and offer state support to investors. The aim is to achieve self-sufficiency in sugar production by boosting beet processing capacity to 3 million tons. To attract investors, the government is prepared to provide subsidies, tax breaks, land plots with infrastructure, and access to preferential credit.
