Ukraine has successfully harvested 12.1 million tons of sugar beets from 98% of the planned area, with an average yield of 47.7 tons/hectare. Sugar refineries have processed 9 million tons, yielding 1.165 million tons of sugar, in line with the previous year. The country is on track to achieve its largest sugar exports since 2000, with over 700 thousand tons expected in 2024. However, exports to the EU have been limited due to import licensing and the EU's emergency braking on Ukrainian sugar supplies. Despite falling world prices and reduced export demand, sugar prices in Ukraine remain stable.
