In July 2024, Brazil saw a significant increase in sugar and molasses exports, with a 28.5% rise to 3.782 million tons compared to the same month in 2023. This increase was accompanied by a 16% growth in revenue, reaching US$1.729 billion. Despite the higher volume of exports, the average price per ton fell by 9.7% to US$457.20. From January to July 2024, Brazil's sugar exports surged by 45% to 20.542 million tons, generating a 52.70% increase in total revenue to US$10.385 billion.
