Despite the high export duty on sunflower seeds in Kazakhstan, producers are still actively exporting them, with an average of about 20 thousand tons per month. This has caused concern at the National Association of Oilseed Processors (NAPMK) due to false information being spread about the industry, potential conflict between producers and processors, and concerns about food security. However, NAPMK also noted an increase in the production of sunflower oil and the majority of seeds being produced domestically, serving as counterarguments against excessive raw material exports.
