Russia's vegetable oil exports have seen a significant increase in the first eight months of 2024, reaching 4.99 million tons, a 10% rise from the previous year. Sunflower oil exports have experienced the most growth, with a 26% increase to 3.77 million tons, making up over 75% of the total vegetable oil exports. The main importers of Russian sunflower oil are India, Turkey, and China. Meanwhile, soybean oil exports have also risen by 18%, with Algeria being the main buyer, while rapeseed oil exports have decreased by 36%, with over 85% of the exports being sent to China.
