Sunflower remains the most profitable crop for Ukrainian farmers.

The EBITDA indicator (profit before interest, taxes, and the inclusion of write-downs and depreciation) clearly demonstrates that for farmers in Ukraine, sunflower remains the leading agricultural crop, according to a study conducted by the All-Ukrainian Congress of Farmers and cited by the congress's press service. Expert calculations indicate that the yield from the oilseed crop can reach $985 per hectare in the western regions of the country due to suitable meteorological conditions and the necessary technological support. In second place in terms of profitability after sunflower, experts place wheat, followed by corn, soybeans, and rapeseed, with sunflower yielding less to corn but at lower costs.
