The 2025/26 agricultural campaign is progressing with good signs, but it is wheat that is capturing all the attention. In the midst of the harvest, the yields recorded far exceed historical highs and have already prompted a new upward revision of the national production, which is estimated at 27.1 million tons, with room to continue growing. In the main wheat-growing areas of the country, yields are between 6 and 11 quintals per hectare above the historical regional highs, and even up to 13 quintals per hectare more than the previous estimate. These are exceptional records, consolidating one of the best wheat campaigns on record. The sector highlights that the good rainfall regime during the crop cycle, combined with moderate temperatures and sustained technological management, explain this outstanding performance.
