Support for red lentil seeds for producers in Beyşehir

In Beyşehir district of Konya, the distribution of red lentil seeds was carried out as part of a support project for farmers. The "Enhancing the use of agricultural lands" project, conducted by the General Directorate of Plant Production under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, included the "Red lentils for fertile lands" project prepared by the Konya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. At the distribution ceremony held within the framework of the project, which is implemented with a 75 percent contribution from the ministry and 25 percent from the farmers, 40 thousand kilograms of red lentil seeds were handed over to producers in Beyşehir. Konya Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Duran Seçen said that with a budget of 3.3 million liras, the project aims to plant red lentils on approximately 3,200 decares of land across the district.
