The Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) by the government has gained support from national livestock stakeholders, particularly the poultry sector. The program could potentially control over 40% of the required raw materials. The Deputy Chairperson for Livestock, Cecep Muhammad Wahyudin, has called for a meeting with relevant ministries and institutions to discuss the program. The Kadin WKU Animal Husbandry Chamber of Commerce and Industry also plans to invite livestock associations to understand their concerns and burdens. The MBG is anticipated to increase egg absorption and potentially lead to an egg supply shortage.
