Mr. Suradej Smiprem, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, along with other officials, inspected fruit exports in Chanthaburi province and encouraged farmers and entrepreneurs. They also visited the Uncle Tao durian garden, an agro-tourism park with an integrated fruit orchard, and monitored quality control measures for export markets, particularly durian. The province is taking measures to control the quality of durian and other fruits, including setting harvest dates and testing for dry weight in the pulp. From February 1, 2023, to April 18, 2023, a total of 12,908 durian shipments, containing about 225,000 tons, were exported from Thailand to China.
