Argentina's Minister of Agriculture, Julián Domínguez, announced the beginning of trout exports to Japan, a project involving companies Newsan and Salmon Trout and costing 22 million dollars. This initiative, part of the Sustainable Aquaculture Project, aims to produce 13,000 tons of trout over five years, for both domestic and international markets, potentially replacing imports from Chile. The project, supported by the state, is expected to create 250 new jobs and involve the creation of a new processing plant in Bariloche.
