Turkey: Sustainable trout farming project in Şırnak Uludere Dams

Within the framework of the 'Development of Sustainable Trout Farming Project in Şırnak Uludere Dams', carried out jointly by Şırnak University and the Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, the harvest of fish production was targeted as 30 tons. With the project prepared by Şırnak University Technology Transfer Office, 5 thousand salmon fry and 70 thousand trout fry were released to Uludere İnceler Dam. The harvest of fish production planned to be held in the spring is targeted at 30 tons. Within the framework of the project carried out by Şırnak University and in partnership with the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Oman, a total of 75 thousand salmon and trout fry were released into Uludere İnceler Dam. Within the scope of the project, where fish harvesting starts in 2022, 30 tons of fish are expected to be harvested after production in cages.
