Syngenta Korea's 'Insicio' Experience Group Has Launched Its Activities. Syngenta Korea recruited an Insicio experience group consisting of 100 agricultural workers from the tangerine production areas of Namwon, Wimi, and Hyodon in Jeju last month and has begun full-scale activities. Spider mites are considered the most difficult pest to control by two out of three greenhouse tangerine farmers, posing a year-round problem in greenhouses. When 2-3 spider mites occur per leaf, registered pesticide application is recommended, but if initial control is missed, spider mite density can explosively increase. Additionally, unlike other fruit trees, tangerines are cultivated in dense plantings, making post-treatment spider mite control more time and effort-intensive.
