As of July 2025, Syria has become the main customer for flour produced in Turkey, displacing Iraq, which held the top position for 15 years, according to a statement from the Eurasia division of the International Association of Active Millers. The goal by the end of the year is to double the export of flour to Syria from the 326 thousand tons achieved in 2024, announced the Eurasia President of the Association, Eren Günhan Ulusoy.
