Taiwan has successfully exported its first test shipment of red dragon fruit to Japan after eight years of negotiations, following a successful reception of the fruit. The initial shipment weighed 192kg, and a larger shipment of 6 tonnes is set to follow. The total export volume for the year is projected to reach 338 tonnes, with expectations of growth in the future. This comes as Taiwan prepares to export Jinhuang mangoes to Japan, capitalizing on the higher quality and price point of their produce compared to Vietnam's.
