The Taiwan Milling Association has purchased 99,200 tons of bread wheat from the United States at a tender, consisting of a mixed lot of dark spring wheat, soft wheat, and hard winter wheat. The delivery for the first batch is expected between July 4 and 18, with sea transport costs estimated at $32.49 per ton. The second batch is due between July 22 and August 5, with transport costs at $33.03 per ton. For comparison, South Korean millers recently purchased soft wheat and spring wheat at a different price per tonne FOB.
