The Tambov region in Russia has commenced its harvesting campaign for the 2020 season, starting with winter wheat and barley in Petrovsky, Zherdevsky, and Muchkapsky districts. With a total sown area of approximately 1.3 million hectares, the region is prepared to reap a bountiful crop, including peas and other spring crops. The Izberdeevsky Elevator JSC in the Petrovsky district, part of the Izberdey group, plays a crucial role in storing and shipping the harvest, with a capacity of up to 7 thousand tons of grain per day. The region's over 40 elevators and grain-receiving enterprises provide storage for more than 5 million tons of grain, meeting domestic demands and exporting over 1.5 million tons to countries such as Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. The quality of Tambov region's grain is highly valued both domestically and internationally.
