In 2023, the Tambov region saw a 24% increase in grain and processed product exports, totaling 395 thousand tons. This includes significant increases in wheat, flour, barley, and peas, as well as 28 thousand tons of soybeans and 20 thousand tons of peas. The first two months of 2024 saw 19.8 thousand tons of grain products exported to Belarus, Latvia, and Afghanistan. Plans for 2024 include reducing the area for grain and leguminous crops and increasing the area for soybeans.
