A state-owned research institute in Tanzania, TARI, has made significant strides in improving agricultural production by increasing the production of seedlings from 7,998,784 in 2021/22 to 19,822,349 in 2023 across various crops. In addition, the institute has established four Agricultural Technology Transfer Hubs and successfully disseminated research outcomes to over 5.49 million stakeholders. The institute also has plans to renovate offices and staff houses to enhance research efficiency and continues to breed improved seeds and distribute necessary technologies to enhance farmers' productivity.
